Safety
To the greatest degree possible, the administration and staff of SDIC is committed to assisting representatives of its members in taking necessary and practical measures to prevent occupational accidents and illnesses as they provide for personal safety and health of their employees.
- Safety Policy
A written statement regarding the Accident & Prevention Program that contains the employer’s philosophy regarding accident and illness prevention. The Safety Program Policy Statement is the foundation for all program activities.
- Loss Control
The SDIC pledges to provide the necessary assistance to its members and to make available resources that will be required by members to comply with elements of the Accident and Illness Prevention Program. SDIC provides a 5% premium discount and expert claims analysis loss reports.

- Compliance
Health and safety checklists were developed to help the members of SDIC recognize, evaluate, and respond to health and safety issues at their schools. PA Department of Labor & Industry requires that certain procedures be available and/or posted for every employee to access. For example: Right to Know, Bloodborne Pathogen, and Hazardous Substance survey forms.

- Seminars & Pennsafe Training (FREE)
SDIC holds two seminars each year - one for the Eastern PA and one for Central/Western PA. The seminars are a combination of active participation and training. We also host Pennsafe Safety Committee Training four times each year at our Lansdale facility.
